About the Bear Lake Area

Bear Lake is truly a unique area.  Located on the northern Utah-Idaho border, Bear Lake is like no other on Earth.  Often called 'The Caribbean of the Rockies', Bear Lake boasts a brilliant turqoise-blue color that is a wonder to behold.  Because of it's unique environment, Bear Lake is home to many species of fish found nowhere else in the world.  And if you pay close attention, you may even get a glimpse of the famous Bear Lake Monster!

 

Bear Lake is located on the eastern side of the Logan Canyon scenic byway, a beautiful drive through one of the Rocky Mountains amazing canyons.  There is an abundance of outdoor activities available.  Sailing, water skiing, hiking, 4 wheeling, snowmobiling, downhill skiing, and ice fishing are just a few of the many recreational activities available in the area.
